Well at least I won't be late for my flight......

That could well be the understatement of the century. 

Now I know that I am organised (normally) and I like to be early, but even by my standards,7 hours early is a tad over cautious!  But I put it down to excitement and a lack of time/space awareness.

So here I sit, and have been for nearly 2 hours, looking at the empty Ethiad check in desks that don't open till 4.20pm, glancing longingly at the security gate leading to departures where the staff are handing out the ridiculously small sandwich bags that you are expected to squeeze all you lotions and potions into, walking round WHSmith for the 8th time, almost tempted to by the box of London Tea, and just longing for a bite to eat and a beer.

But on the up side, I am on holiday!!!! In fact there is no down side really, this is all part of the adventure and it gives you all something to laugh about.

So, Thailand awaits.  It's currently 30 something degrees out there and although the sun has been shining on good old Blighty recently, nothing compares to the real sweat-tache inducing heat of the tropics.  I am armed with sun tan lotion, industrial strength mozzie spray and enough Thai Bahts to choke a dozen donkeys.........literally.  It is a house brick of cash.  A whole 68,000 bahts worth.  I'm looking forward to that a the other end.  Thankfully it is all in my trademark envelopes which never fail to impress.

Well, I am going to sign off now, time to wander around WHSmith again and maybe try the toilets at other end of the hall. Once I make it through the plastic bag checkpoint I will return.....
